Kaltio Rent was created for seasonal workers and longer stays in Northern Lapland, where everyday distances, changing shifts and days off are easier when you can move on your own schedule.

Built from a real northern need.
In Northern Lapland, distance is part of daily life. Work shifts, grocery trips and airport connections do not always fit public transport, especially for seasonal workers arriving from different places and finding a new everyday rhythm.
A customer staying for months needs something different from a tourist renting for a few days: practical mobility that can remain part of everyday life throughout the season.
Kaltio Rent was founded in Northern Lapland in spring 2026 by Harri and Tuomas.

02 / The name
Where movement begins.
Kaltio is a northern dialect word for a natural spring, a place where clean water begins to flow. The name was inspired by springs in the northern fells, where that first movement starts quietly.
For us, that movement became the idea behind the company: from workdays to days off, from one village to another, and from a season in Lapland into a wider northern life.
